KKU Hosts Talent Symposium

His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami, confirmed the university's initiation to coordinate with King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba", on the implementation of all programs of the institution. This came during the "Mawhiba “ symposium which was organized by King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, King Khalid University University and the General Administration of Education in Asir region.

The aim of the symposium was to introduce the foundation’s programs and achievements, and highlight the role of educators in discovering gifted students.

During the symposium the secretary general of the Mawhiba program Dr. Saud Al-Mathami, stressed the importance of discovering talents and equipping them towards achieving the kingdom’s vision 2030.

On his part the general director of Asir education Dr. Ahmed bin Khadran Al-Omari, affirmed the education sector’s keenness to support gifted students, and to encourage innovation and creativity in education.

The symposium witnessed the participation of the Deputy Secretary General of Mwahiba Dr. Nazih Al-Othmani, the head of the Scientific Information Office at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, Dr. Fatima Al Hamlan, and some members from the Mawhiba foundation.
