Fire Drill in the University City in Al-Qara’

King Khalid University General Administration of Safety and Security, in cooperation with the Civil Defense, university’s medical city (outpatient clinics) and a number of other entities in the Asir region, organized, a fire drill in the university city in Al-Qara’a.

The fire drill scenario took place in the (TOEFL Center building) where a fake fire broke out , and the building which contained 45 people was evacuated in 7 minutes.

On his part, the General Director of the General Administration of Safety and Security, Professor Ali Muhammad Al-Qahtani, stressed that the goal of implementing the fire drill is to

raise the level of preparedness among university members, and to educate them on the ways to deal with accidents or any emergency matter during when occurred. He also added the fire drill aims to ensure the all university facilities and buildings are equipped with safety measures.

It is worth noting, that the the implementation of the drill coincides with the gradual transition of the university units to the new campus in Al-Qara'a.
