The University Student training Unit Holds the International Summer Training Program Forum

His Excellency King Khalid University President prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami attended the International Summer Training Program thrid edition , which was organized by university student training unit.

Al Solami, stressed in his speech the importance of opening areas of cooperation with international educational and training agencies through this program. He pointed to the impact the program will have on university students outcomes , he praised the efforts of the student training Unit in implementing the program and its continuity despite the conditions of the Corona pandemic.

The General Supervisor of the Student Training Unit, Dr. Mona Al-Shehri, explained the success of 7 colleges of the university in concluding distinguished training agreements with the most prominent universities and international training bodies in the last edition of the program.

Al-Shehri ,also explained that this edition included double the number of students compared to the previous program , pointing out that the number of beneficiaries of the program in this edition reached 244 male and female students, who recieved training in a number of specialized agencies in 4 countries, including the United States of America , Germany, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Student Training Unit held a workshop that discussed the most prominent obstacles and challenges that faced the program in its third edition and the ways to develop it and improve its outcomes in the upcoming edition.

It is worth noting that in the third edition, students of the College of Medicine and the College of Nursing in Khamis Mushait were trained at Emory University, and the students of the College of Computer Science were trained at the American E-Commerce Authority, in addition to training the students of College of Pharmacy were trained at the American Society of Health System Pharmacists. While the students of the Faculty of Engineering were trained at the Technical University of Berlin in Germany, as well as the students of the Faculty of Languages and Translation were trained at Monash University in Australia, in addition to training students from the Media and Communication Department at the Faculty of Humanities at Fox for Training and Media Services in the United Arab Emirates.
