His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami, inaugurated the Saudi Geographical Association branch in KKU, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Geographical Association and the Head of the Association in KKU.

The head of the Saudi Geographical Association branch at King Khalid University, Dr. Amal Bint Hussein Al Mushait, explained that the branch includes 34 members from different bodies in Asir region, with the election of members of the board of directors, consisting of 7 members representing the geography specialization at King Khalid University and the Ministry of Education, hoping that the association will achieve its goals, disseminate advanced geographical knowledge in its various branches, and prepare geographical studies on the local and regional levels.

It is worth noting that the association seeks to revitalise the geographical intellectual movement, cope with developments and ensure the advancement of geographical sciences.
