King Khalid University - Tihama Branch recently launched a number of initiatives that contribute to dedicating the efforts of the university and its employees to serve the local community, and strive to achieve the Kingdom's 2030 vision in spreading the culture of volunteering and educational initiatives.

The General Supervisor of the University branch in Tihama, Dr. Ahmed bin Atef Al-Shehri, inaugurated the afforestation campaign coinciding with the World Environment Week, explaining that the campaign aims to plant seedlings based on the directions of His Excellency the President of the University and as part of the community’s role in raising environmental awareness.

Additional Initiatives:

• ‘’Teaching the basics of the English language to different segments of society’’ initiative , and it was implemented over a period of a month, and 40 teaching hours.
• The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Tihama, represented by the Community Service Committee and the team of the Care Initiative organized two virtually educational awareness programs on healthy nutrition and its relationship with failed kidney patients and obesity.
