The Deanship of E-Learning Issues Educational Statistics

The Deanship of E-Learning issued a report on the educational operations that were carried out virtually during the first semester of the Academic year 1442Ah , for the university entities and colleges.

His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solami, explained that the great efforts made by our wise leadership, may God support them, to provide a good educational environment during the Corona pandemic have resulted in many important achievements, stressing that the role of continuous follow-up and support by the Ministry of Education, had great impact on the success of the process.

Al-Solami also said, "This clear distinction of work delivered by the e-learning deanship at King Khalid University, reflects the level of efficiency presented during the first semester, which is an excellent model that includes; modern systems , data and tools that help the transition from the stage of relying on e-learning as an alternative model to a strategic option in which abstract accreditation is exceeded in employing quality standards in educational practices.’’

The University Vice-President of Educational and Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Muhammad bin Dajam, explained that the distinguished efforts made by the Deanship of E-Learning in cooperation with the colleges and a number of agencies confirm the excel level that e-learning has reached at the university, which provided a good educational environment during the Corona pandemic.

The Dean of E-Learning at the University Dr. Naif Jabali, explained that the deanship carried out many activities and initiatives in the first semester that had a prominent impact in enhancing the online learning process, and improving the experience of faculty members and students, as well as providing a flexible educational experience for students with special needs, and facilitate communication between faculty members, students and technical authorities in the Deanship.

According to the deanship report:

The number of users logged in is: 3179460

The number of courses reached is :1947

The number of sections is : 14040

The number of reviews is : 241463

The number of discussion boards is :333506

The number of files reviewed has reached is : 67941

The number of virtual classes is :152944

On the technical support side, Al -Jabali explained that the support operations amounted to 19616 operations with various means of support (phone, WhatsApp, e-mail, office visits and via livechat )

The Deanship also prepared and published 41 guides for faculty members and students. In the field of training, the Deanship implemented 29 courses during the first semester, 23 of which were for faculty members attended by 11,386 participants , and 6 student courses attended by 5982.

The Deanship of E-Learning also supervised the implementation of 27 different seminars, the total number of beneficiaries was 11,498, in addition to 9652 electronic and oral exams were implemented , while the Tamkeen channel also continued its efforts in providing educational services, as the number of videos since the beginning of the first semester reached 245, and the channel achieved 186583 views in 5909.2 hours, and the number of views reached 1237804
