University President Patronizes the University Endowments Seminar

His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solami, patronized the university endowments seminar, in light of King Saud & King Abdulaziz universities experience in endowment investments. The seminar is one of the activities of the 12th of the Saudi Universities endowments meeting, which King Khalid university is to host this year.

The seminar was attended by his Excellency the president of Taif University, Prof.Youssef bin Abdo Asiri, and Saudi universities endowment officials, as well as al number of Inspection Council members and university vice president and employees.

His excellency the University President welcomed his Excellency the president of the University of Taif, the trustees and representatives of the endowments of Saudi universities and attendees, stressing the importance of holding such meetings, which aim to achieve the universities new mission in light of the Kingdoms 2030. His Excellency commended our wise leadership’s interest in enhancing and developing the role of Saudi universities in the overall development of the Kingdom. He also commended the Ministry of Education’s effort in creating the universities new mission to achieving efficient spending and to enhancing self-resourcing, stressing that endowments are an important part in this new mission.

On his part, the Secretary General of King Khalid University Endowments, Dr.Omar bin Saeed Al Mushait, inaugurated the seminar’s activities by welcoming the guest . After that, the CEO of the Scientific Endowment at King Abdulaziz University, Dr.Essam bin Hassan Kawthar, initiate the seminar by presenting King Abdulaziz University’s experience with endowments, highlighting the university’s most important endowments projects , activities and categories that aim to achieve endowment returns, stressing the importance of partnerships with businessmen and business ventures.

On his part, the Secretary General of King Saud University, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Dhafer, highlighted the most successful endowment projects of King Saud University, stressing on the importance of partnerships with private sectors, in addition to investing in university buildings and properties as part of the self resourcing. He also commended tourism and environmental potential projects available in the southern region, which can add to King Khalid University endowment investments and work for the university’s benefit

The seminar was concluded with answering questions and among the most prominent of them are ways to activate the role of university students.
