University Signs Collaboration Agreement with Abha Chamber of Commerce

His Excellency King Khalid University Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami, witnessed the signing of two cooperation agreements between the university and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Abha, this which included a training agreement to raise the quality of human resources in Asir region, in addition to establishing an incubator and a business accelerator.

Representing the university in the Training agreement was he Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Education, while for the Business incubator agreement the university was represented by the Center of Talent, creativity and Entrepreneurship . Sining the agreements on the university part was the University Vice president of Business and Knowledge Economy, Prof. Dr. Abdullatif bin Ibrahim Al-Hadithi, while the Chamber’s Secretary-General, Dr. Riyadh Bin Ahmed Aqran signed it on the Chambers part.

The Dean of Community Service and Continuous Education, Prof. Dr. Omar bin Alwan Aqeel, stressed the importance of this cooperation and the outcomes expected from it in the future , pointing that the main objective of this agreement is to raise the quality of human resources in Asir region and to employ human capability, as well as building A true partnership that serves the purposes that each sector seeks to achieve through integration in visions and roles, indicating that this cooperation will provide various training programs and plans to serve our young youth and meet the regions professional needs.

Regarding the business incubator and accelerator, the director of the University's Center for Talent, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Dr. Muhammad bin Khammash Al-Maghribi, explained that the main objective of the incubator agreement revolves around converting innovative ideas into productive economic and technical projects, through the implementation of a number of services and initiatives that target entrepreneurs and students and aims to enhance the concept of entrepreneurship, and engage the society in contributing to raising the level of domestic production which is in the line with the Kingdom’s 2030 vision . The agreement also aims to build an integrated community that encourages development of small and medium enterprises.

It's worth noting that King Khalid University, through its partnerships, seeks to provide opportunities that contribute to the progress and development of its employees and its society, believing in the importance of its role as a leading institution .
