The University Rector Sponsors National Day Symposium

His Excellency King Khalid University Rector Prof. Faleh bin Reja-Allah Al-Solami, raised the highest verses of congratulations and blessings, in his name and on behalf of the university's employees, to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Asir region, may Allah preserve them, and the honorable Saudi people on the 90th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This came during his sponsorship of the virtual seminar "The Kingdom on its Ninetieth National Day ... Vision and Achievement", as part of the university's activities program to celebrate the 90th National Day, His Excellency the University Rector, asking Allah to keep the kingdom security and protect her leadership, he also praising the development we witnessing at all fields especially the successes it has achieved in dealing with the Corona pandemic, which qualified it to headed the Group of 20 countries.

In the symposium Al-Solami welcomed the participants, praising the efforts made by the General Administration of Media and Relations in organizing the symposium and thanking the Deanship of E-Learning for its efforts in transmitting the university's activities electronically and welcoming the attendees.

After that, the attendees watched a film that presenting the stages of development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the past 9 decades, and the Saudi people's pride in their national identity.

Dr. Khaled Abu Hikma, Vice Dean of the College of Human Sciences for Development and Quality and the Chancellor of the University Agency, moderated the seminar in the presence of: the member of the Shura Council, Dr. Fayez Al-Shehri, who speaks on Media and Security; Professor of Postgraduate Studies at King Abdulaziz University, Chairman of the Jeddah Literary and Cultural Club Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Uweqil Al-Solami , to talk about culture; Prof. Meri` Al-Habbash, Director of Corporate Governance at King Khalid University, talks about economics and the Kingdom’s vision 2030; in addition to the Dean of the Colleges of Science, Arts and Society in Rejal-Almaa, Dr. Siham Al Haidar, where she talks about Women and Development axis.

Dr. Fayez Al-Shehri discussed the concept of media as a means and security as a need, stressing that media affects security through the integration of the two parties in a way that serves the public interest, He praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia role in media and security fields and its strength since the era of the founder, may Allah have mercy on him, and the advanced levels they made until we reached what we have reached now.

In the culture, Prof. Abdullah bin Uweqil Al-solami says:" talking about culture in the Kingdom requires evoking the kingdom’s geographical and demographic topography in the past, present and future time dimensions, pointing to the ancient historical dimension of culture that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have and the care of King Abdulaziz, may Allah have mercy on him, and his sons After him, and the wise leadership efforts in this culture and harnessing it for the advancement of the homeland in the present and future, pointing to the distribution of cultural institutions about 6 million books during the Corona crisis, considering the existence of an independent ministry of culture and institutions in various cultural fields that take it into distinct future.

Prof. Mureei` Al-Habbash also indicated that the Saudi economy has proven its strength and resilience, pointing out that this strength contributed to the Kingdom's progress in a confident pace despite the circumstances, pointing out that the statistics deny that the GDP was affected by the drop in oil prices, emphasizing that one of the most important pillars of the vision is the diversification of the economy and the non-dependence on oil, praising the government's efforts to eradicate corruption, and ranking 10th in the world among the G20 countries in combating corruption, and the first in the world in economic stability

Dr. Siham Al Haider concluded the symposium, by talking about women and development, confirming that women in Saudi Arabia were given the opportunity to represent them in international forums, enabling her to reach higher positions. pointing out a number of government decisions that empowering women, and the leadership's belief in the importance of activating the role of women in development.
