Rector Al-Solamy Launches Safe Return Initiative

His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, recently launched the Safe Return Initiative for faculty members under the Office of the Vice Rector for Educational and Academic Affairs supervision. His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy congratulated faculty members and students on the new academic year, stressing the need to prioritize the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community in every decision. Rector Al-Solamy explained that we are committed to ensuring that teaching, learning, and research will continue at the highest level of excellence.

Vice Rector for Educational and Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad Du'ajim, praised this initiative, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of upholding COVID-19 precautionary measures while ensuring the continuation of the educational process.

Office of the Vice Rector for Educational and Academic Affairs Consultant, Dr. Fahad Otaif, said: "The Safe Return Initiative includes a procedural guide for students and faculty members that focuses on mandatory health protocols and academic procedures to ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community. In addition to the procedural guide, we have developed an informative video and distributed more than 3,000 evidence-based awareness posters to all university departments."

King Khalid University is committed to the health and safety of our community. We will continue to emphasize remote learning and work while allowing certain in-person activities under Ministry of Education guidelines and a limited population of students and staff. We seek to support the wellbeing of our community while advancing academic achivements. By taking steps to protect ourselves and others through important health and safety protocols on campus, we are playing an integral role in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
