King Khalid University's Center for Persons with Disabilities held a workshop entitled "The Early Intervention Mechanisms within families". The workshop was presented by Prof. Hoda Khaled and Professor Rawabi Ali.

Deputy Supervisor, Dr. Sereen Talal Bakri, explained that this workshop comes within the center's interest in educating families about their duties towards these groups in our society and the ways to deal with them.

The workshop began by defining the mechanisms of early interventions and the critical role families play in maintaining the condition of mentally ill individuals. The workshop also presented a variety of physical activities that may be implemented at home and can contribute to well-being. Of note, several free programs were offered to families with mentally ill individuals.
