College of Medicine Launched 3 Online Awareness Seminars in Ramadan

The College of Medicine's Community Service Unit and Medicine and Creativity Club organized 3 online educational awareness seminars tailored to all groups of society in Ramadan as part of its social responsibility and role in raising health awareness during COVID-19 pandemic. The seminar, which received a ~95% satisfaction rating, benefited 2,150 citizens/residents and included psychiatric, gynecology, childbirth and child health specialties.

Dr. Hassan Al-Amri, Associate Professor and Psychologist, delivered a lecture entitled "Ways to avoid Psychiatric disorders". He explained mental disorders, their prevalence in the Kingdom, and prevention/treatment protocols.

Dr. Hanouf Al-Qahtani, Associate Professor and Obstetrician-Gynecologist at College of Medicine, delivered a lecture entitled "Health Risks and Pregnancy during COVID-19". He talked about the effect of COVID-19 on pregnancy, the ways of infection transmission, and what should be taken by a pregnant woman to avoid infection.

Dr. Ashwaq Asiri, Assistant Professor and Pediatrician at the College of Medicine, delivered a lecture entitled "Our Children Against COVID-19". She explained the symptoms of coronavirus infection among children and why children are silent carriers. She then presented the most successful ways to protect children from infection.
