On 29 Shawwāl 1441, His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy chaired the 9^th meeting of the university council online in line with national social distancing measures. The meeting included the participation of University Affairs Secretary-General Council, Dr. Muhammad Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, and all members of the council.

Opening with praise to Allah, and Allah's Peace and Blessings upon His Final Messenger, His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy began the meeting. Following after, Vice Rector of Graduate Studies, University Council Secretary, Prof. Saad Al-Amri, reviewed the topics on the council agenda and explained that the Council decided on several issues, including approving the guiding manual to establishing scientific research societies and final exams assessment procedures for the spring 2020 semester in accord with the Ministry of Education's precautionary measures during this period to suspend student attendance to prevent the spread of COVID-19 Virus. The Council also decided on the academic calendar for the 1442 AH academic year and approved full-time scientific research conventions for several faculty members.

Of note, the Council approved the establishment of the Executive Master's Program in Marketing and E-Commerce at the College of Business and finalized the financial accounts of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education and the General Administration of Investment.
