University Organizes "Amal" Campaign to Raise Awareness of the Harmful Effects of Drugs and Smoking

On Tuesday, the 30th of May 2023, under the patronage of His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, the Guidance and Counseling Center at the Deanship of Student Affairs with the participation of the Drug Control Department, the Poison Control Center, the Mental Health Hospital, and the “Aoun” Association for drug treatment and rehabilitation, held the  "Amal" event, which was held at the theater of the College of Education in the University City in Al-Fara’a.

Abdulmalik Al-Tamani, the  Guidance and Counseling Center's supervisor, explained that the "Amal" event, held in tandem with the national anti-drug campaign and World No-Tobacco Day, sought to educate the youth about the dangers of smoking and using drugs. He continued that King Khalid University constantly strives to maintain a drug- and smoke-free environment.

The event, which included a number of programs and competitions and culminated with an honoring of the participants, included the presence of Prof. Thabet Al Kahlan, Dean of the College of Education, and Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani, Dean of Student Affairs.
