University President Honors Al-Asmari and Al-Qahtani, Winners of the International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX 23)

His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, recently honored the master's student at the College of Education, Hasel bin Muhammad Al-Asmari, who won the gold medal at the International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX 23), which was recently held in the capital of Malaysia , Kuala Lumpur, and the bachelor’s student at the College of Engineering, Nayef bin Ali Al-Qahtani, for taking home the silver medal in the same exhibition.

Al-Asmari, won the gold medal for his   Camel Eyes project, which aims to raise the level of traffic safety on highways using AI, while Al-Qahtani won the silver medal for his project to create graphene oxide for supercapacitors.

Al-Solami, emphasized the value of invention and innovation during the meeting, pointing that the students' success is a reflection of the unlimited support the Kingdom's educational system receives. He also stressed the importance of taking advantage of the university's resources to boost creativity, invention, and research.

The honoring meeting saw the presence of the university Vice-President for Business and Knowledge Economy, Prof. Abdullatif Al-Hadithi, and the Creativity, Giftedness & Entrepreneurship Center Director, Dr. Majid Al-Aziman.
