King Khalid University participated in an international conference held at the University of Glasgow, UK, which was held from 1/4/2014 to 6/4/2014. Two scientific research papers were presented on behalf of Dr.Majedah Muhammad Al Bayoumi, the Dean of Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences. The conference opening was held yesterday morning.150 research presentations, 80 research posters, and 18 workshops formed part of the conference. The University of Glasgow is considered one of the oldest, most prestigious universities in Scotland, Great Britain.

A research poster, The Effects of the Application of Exercise Programs for Patients undergoing Hemodialysis, was presented on Wednesday, 2/4/20014, by Dr. Magedah Al Bayoumi.

It is worth mentioning this research was supported by the King Khalid University Deanship of Scientific Research. It was also the first time such a program was undertaken on blood dialysis patients in the Arab world.

Another research poster was displayed on Thursday, 3/4/2014, entitled A Comparison Between the  Quality of Life  of Patients undergoing BLOODY Hemodialysis and Patients undergoing PERITONEAL Hemodialysis, and the effects on Caregivers, and was presented by Majedah Muhammad Al Bayoumi.
