The university participates in the activities of Souk Okaz (Okaz Market) among more than 50 government entities.
Among more than 50 government entities involved, King Khalid University (KKU) represented by the talent and creativity center, has participated in the activities of the 10th Okaz Market, which is held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - may Allah protect him -. On behalf of His Royal Highness, the Adviser of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the Governor of Mecca Region, Prince Khalid Al Faisal, the Okaz Market was opened by the Chairman of the Supervisory Committee for Okaz Market. King Khalid University has participated with exhibition including a number of innovations and inventions of university employees and students within the pavilion of Saudi universities. This participation came in response to the directives of the KKU Rector, Prof. Dr. Fallah bin Raja Allah Al Solamy. In this regard, the Rector affirmed the keenness of the university to participate in all national events to reflect the honorable image the university has reached in various fields, and to highlight inventions and innovations of the talented individuals among members of the University community. From his part, the Supervisor of the Exhibition, who is also the Director of Talent and Creativity Center, Dr. Muhammad Al Mughraby, has explained that the year's exhibition focused significantly on displaying the distinctive innovations of the university in the presence of the innovators, in order to support and encourage them, and to highlight their talents. In addition to that, the exhibition has provided a brief introduction about the university in general, by distributing introductory brochures and books to visitors, as well as attending to their questions, which were answered by a number of specialists.
