University to secure its information with more than 9 million Saudi Riyals

His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hammed  Al Dawood has, last Sunday morning, the 11/9/1436 AH, signed a number of contracts worth a total value amounting to SR 9,984,400,8. The occasion took place in the President's office. The contracts were signed with a number of national institutions and companies. These were all about the second phase of the development of information security management project, the development of infrastructure for information technology, in addition to providing electronic services.

These new agreements seek to achieve a number of the planned goals of the University to provide the necessary requirements for university facilities.

For his part, the General Supervisor of Information Technology Department of the University, Dr. Salem Alelyani clarified that these projects were quality projects that aimed at strengthening the infrastructure of Information Technology at the University. He added, "Indeed, these projects will contribute in developing the educational process at the university. And they come in line with the national plan to transform to the E-Government. The national plan further aims to shift for knowledge-based society and economy." Alelyani continued, "These projects enhance information security, which increased dramatically with the need for openness and technical expansion that are witnessed in this blessed country."
