University announces the mechanism and timing of acceptance for the academic year 1436/1437 AH.
King Khalid University, represented by the Admission and Registration Deanship has announced the admission plan for the next academic year 1436/1437 AH, via its portal. The Deanship has set Thursday the 25th of this month as the date for receiving applications for admission. Admission exercise be on until the 30th of Shaaban 1436 H.
The Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Sultan Al Farah has explained that the acceptance of this year would be electronically conducted, thus there would be no need to send documents in the traditional way, saying that the Deanship would depend on the SMS as an essential means of communication with the student. The Dean further stated that the terms for acceptance include getting a high grade in school certificate or its equivalent, in addition to passing the necessary examinations of the major, and that the national Identification (ID) is also necessity. The Dean also clarified that acceptance for health disciplines required at least the cumulative average of 90% and the applicant must be a graduate of the current year. It will not be allowed to accept any student who had graduated more than 5 years ago. Another condition is that acceptance would be according to the available seats, and the priority will be accorded to new graduates. Al Farah added that the nominations would be during Ramadan, as stated in the schedule. He said, "A supportive e - system has been launched to answer the students' questions during the Admission phase 24 hours a day. So, the applicant would not need to come to the deanship." The Dean concluded stressing that the Deanship would adopt transparency and justice during completing the acceptance process.
