University President Attends the Launch of the "Effective Education and Fair Evaluation" Program

His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, emphasized the significance of equipping faculty members at the university with teaching and evaluation strategies. He pointed that excellence in a scientific specialization is only one pillar among many that are  required in  an effective  educational process, he also stressed  that it is necessary that all faculty members continue to develop their teaching and assessment skills through joining multiple training programs in the field.

His Excellency, noted that the program is designed to improve  educational outcomes and raise the level of teaching methods and tools carried out by the university’s faculty members to qualify them for their roles in the university.

This came during his Excellency's patronage of the launch of the "Effective Education and Fair Evaluation" program, which is organized by the University’s Vice Agency for Educational and Academic Affairs, and implemented by the College of Education at the University in the presence of the University Vice President for Educational and Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Muhammad bin Dajem.

On his part, Prof. Nasser Al-Shahrani, the program's Executive Director and Vice Dean of Research and Postgraduate Studies at the College of Education, explained that the program is available to all university faculty members. He explained that the program  aims to implement courses in teaching strategies and assessment  methods for teaching faculty members through the analyzing the training requirements for college staff members in regard to their specializations, and assessing academic programs' plans to ensure the interrelation among outcomes, teaching strategies, and evaluation methods to finally build qualitative training programs based on their  results.

It is worth noting, that the program is implemented in various colleges of the university in Abha and surrounding governorates.
