In a Great Achievement, King Khalid University Ranks 3rd in Digital Transformation
In a new accomplishment and among 36 entities representing the education and training
sector in the Kingdom, King Khalid University ranked 3rd in the Digital Government
Authority Index to measure Government Digital Transformation 10th cycle. Further, this
achievement raised the university index percentage from 78 to 87 and ranked 26th among the
highest 217 government entities in the field of digital transformation in Saudi Arabia.
The General Supervisor of the General Administration of Information Technology, Dr. Hamid
Al-Qahtani, noted the great support and interest that the university has dedicated to the iT
Department from His Excellency the University President and his vice-presidents. He
commended the role of the university authorities for their cooperation and concerted efforts,
which resulted in this achievement.
On his part, the Director of the Digital Transformation Unit in the Department, Muhammad
Al-Ghanim, indicated that this achievement was carried out by a distinguished team from the
Digital Transformation Unit, Institutional Infrastructure Unit, and all departments in the
General Administration of Information Technology, with the cooperation of the university
authorities.
It is worth noting, that the University, in this field, has achieved total commitment in 106 of
111 standards.
