2500 Applied College Students Complete the 3 Semester Academic Year

The Applied College at King Khalid University concluded the examinations work related to its  students in the the Academic Complex in Khamis Mushait, and its branches in Abha, Mahayel, Asir and Rijal Almaa governorates.

 

The Dean of the Applied College, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Marei, explained that the college successfully completed the first year as an applied college with  the three-semester system, noting that this came in accordance with the initiative to shift from community college programs to applied programs that take into account the provision of qualitative and skill programs that are directly related to the needs of the labor market and help  bridge the gap between the market needs and the university graduates.

 

Al-Marei added that the college took into account in its implementation of the programs  the general framework of the applied colleges initiative, as well as the requirements of the  three semesters academic year. He said  that the  college was able to launch programs that were approved by the Ministry of Education, and  provide programs that catered to special needs and prison inmates  as part of its duties towards society.

 

It is noteworthy that the number of male and female students at the Applied College and its branches exceeds 2,500 students, while the number of the teaching and training staff is 241.
