King Khalid University's steady march towards excellence in research and education continues to reach greater heights with a new ranking as 4th in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and 601 globally in the 2020 Global Times Higher Educations University Impact Rankings. The Impact Rankings measure the actions taken by higher education institutions to realize the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals across three broad areas: research, outreach, and stewardship. Other Saudi universities accepted to the 2020 rankings list were governmental and private.

 

Vice Rector of Academic Development & Quality, Dr, Merzin Al-Shahrani, said: "It is especially reaffirming to have our progress and accomplishments recognized at the global level for the 2nd year in a row. King Khalid University's participation in international rankings is proof of our keenness in applying best practices and international standards higher education. This milestone will only improve performance and outcomes to reach the labor market requirements at the domestic and global levels."

 

Vice Rector Al-Shahrani raised his thanks to His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy for his permanent support. He also thanked all of the university's units for their active role that supported the university's progress in a number of classifications led by International Classifications Unit Supervisor, Dr. Sami Al-Shehri.
