University to Hold a Conference on the Present and Future Status of English Language

The Faculty of Languages and Translation at King Khalid University will hold a national seminar on " The Present and Future of English in Saudi Arabia: Research Concerns," which is scheduled to take place from 25 to 26 Dhu al-Hijjah 1435 AH.

The seminar aims to attract researchers in the various sub-disciplines relevant to Applied Linguistics to participate and share their thoughts, results of their research, the best methodology in research, and their teaching experience with their peers', around the Kingdom.

The seminar also aims to increase academical awareness of the current and future trends in teaching English, in addition to assessing critical research issues in the field of Applied Linguistics at the level of theory and practice.

The organizers of the seminar seek to disseminate knowledge related to the latest trends and publications in Applied Linguistics, as well as inviting researchers, and academicians in the field of linguistics, and related sciences to discuss matters of mutual interest. Such issues include language, literature, methods of teaching, language and culture, language planning, language policies, approaches of teaching the English language, and technology and language learning.
