Education Minister receives a copy of University documentary book.

His Excellency, the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa, has received His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, who congratulated the Minister on the leadership's trust to appoint him as the Minister of education. During the reception, the KKU Rector delivered to the Minister, a copy of King Khalid University documentary book, which was recently released by the university. The 200-page book documents KKU's achievements and development at all levels, including all educational, scientific, research and service areas, since the establishment, or the inception of the university. The book also includes university education in the region in 1396 AH, starting from the issuance of the Royal decree to establish the university in 1419 AH, to the annexation of the Islamic University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud, and the University of King Saud, under the name of "King Khalid University", to this day in the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - may God protect him.

The book also included the expansion and extension witnessed by the university, including 7 vice - Presidencies, colleges, and departments, as well as supportive deanships, community service, financial growth, human energies, scholarship, training, and various projects.

The Minister finally thanked the Rector on the book version, and praised all efforts exerted to let this book come to light. The Minister said, "It reflects the scientific and research achievements of the University." The honorable minister also stressed on continuing to develop educational and research, as well as community service areas, to commensurate with the prestige enjoyed by the education sector in this generous country.

For his part, Rector Al Dawood said, "By releasing this version of the documentary book of King Khalid University, the university has entered a new field that enables it to compete locally, regionally and globally." The Rector added, "The nomination of the university in the membership of the Executive Council of the Association of Arab Universities, and the occupation of advanced places in the world rankings, is a clear evidence of the development that the KKU is witnessing nowadays." Rector Al Dawood stated further that the KKU had admitted more than 70,000 students in 44 colleges that are scattered in 13 governorates in Asir region, and under the supervision of more than 7,000 faculty members and employees. He added thus, "The development the University has reached was a natural result of the unwavering support the University enjoys from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, from the Crown Prince, His Royal highness Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, and from the Deputy Crown Prince, His Royal highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz - may God protect them all".
