University President Reviews the Medical College Summer Training Program Outcomes

On Wednesday the 12th of September, His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami, met with the medical college summer training program applicants. During the meeting, his Excellency stressed the importance of research programs and international clinical training programs in enhancing students’ skills.

On his part the supervisor of the training program, head of the Child Health Department at the College of Medicine, Dr. Ali Al-Suhail, explained that the program was held online and in cooperation with the Rollins College of Public Health at Emory University in the United States of America for 5 weeks, and included 33 students.

It’s worth noting that the training program introduced the fundamentals and skills of scientific research and research proposals and was delivered through a variety of lectures and workshops. The program outcomes were a result of  6 research proposals, which are under study and to be carried out within this academic year.
