King Khalid University and the Arab Open University Agreement

His Royal Highness the governor of Asir Region  Prince Turki bin Talal, head of the region's development authority, attended the  signing of a cooperation agreement between King Khalid University and the Arab Open University, at his office in the Emirate headquarters in the city of Abha.

During the signing  His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Solami, represented KKU while on the Arab  Open university was represented by  President of the Arab Open University, Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Shahrani.

The agreement aims to achieve many cooperation programs,  exchange of experiences, joint training between the two parties,  consultations regarding aspects of quality, institutional and academic accreditation in accordance with the systems and procedures of the two parties, in addition to  preparing training packages and organizing events between (conferences, forums, exhibitions, seminars and  workshops) jointly between the two parties.

 

His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Al-Sulami, expressed his delight at the signing of the agreement between the two sides, stressing the university’s keenness to cooperate and integrate with other institutions to achieve  the objectives of Vision 2030, adding that he is  very optimistic for the  outcomes and believes that this agreement will  contribute  to the promotion of academic and research work, capacity building, skills and community service.

While  on his part the President of the Arab Open University, Dr. Ali Al-Shahrani, noted that this agreement came as a result of the two universities’ belief in the necessity of activating joint cooperation and enhancing the integration of roles between public and private universities and colleges in the Kingdom.
