University to Enhance Cooperation with Amazon

King Khalid University Vice Dean of Business and Knowledge Economy, Prof. Abdullatif bin Ibrahim Al-Hadithi, received the  representatives of Amazon AWS, headed by Omar Hajj Saleh, Director of the Government Sector at Amazon AWS, to discuss  cooperation methods  in the areas of innovation and artificial intelligence.

During the meeting, a number of issues related to innovation and artificial intelligence were discussed, followed by a meeting with company representatives in which a brief presentation was made about Amazon AWS and its projects, partnerships and products in Saudi Arabia, followed by  the proposal of the AI ​​innovation hub at King Khalid University in partnership with Amazon AWS . The Vice Rector of Business and Knowledge Economy, Prof. Dr. Abdullatif bin Ibrahim Al-Hadithi, stressed that the university is keen to see the experience of Amazon in the fields of artificial intelligence and innovation and its employemtntin the education sectors, stressing the importance of such meetings in training  students in the fields of artificial intelligence and innovation.

 

It’s worth noting that the meeting was attended by the university’s advisor to His Excellency the President of the University and Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center, Dr. Salem Al-Olayani,  the Director of the Center of Talent, Creativity and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Muhammad Al-Fifi, and from Amazon AWS, the  Director of the Education Sector Rasha Al-Thaqafi, the  Director of Innovation Services Wael Al-Khumour, and via video communication, the Director of the Training Sector, Muhammad Yousef.
