"Homeland Culture", National Day Celebrations Convoy.

The Deanship of Student Affairs of King Khalid University is preparing to participate in the celebration of the National Day, with a number of activities and events. The celebration and activities will be held by the Emirate of Asir Province, in collaboration with a number of government bodies. It is expected that the participation of the University this year will be different, as the University is the biggest institution in terms of the number of participants; more than 400 students will participate in the ceremony which will be held next Tuesday the 23rd of september 2014. Celebration will also include a number of cultural, interactive and artistic programs, in addition to a cultural convoy that will wander all day across the region, and across a number of public touristy and malls. The convoy is under the title "Homeland Culture".

On this occasion, the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Merr'a Al-Habash informed that the convoy would provide many offers and activities such as, historical and cultural competitions, which aim at educating the youth through reviewing the most important achievements of the country. In addition, 4 cars, decorated with the logo of the state, university and the occasion will be shown. Additionally, the convoy will be accompanied by a team for media documentation of the occasion. The convoy will conduct two events; first, holding "Homeland Culture" Competition to promote the culture of the state, and distribute prizes on which is inscribed the logo to the winners among the participants in the competition. The questions of competition are those related to the country and its history and destiny. Secondly, the distribution of white roses with small cards, on which will be inscribed some advice and directives on how to behave during the celebration. The advice also will call on the participants to maintain the prestige of the occasion, and will also address, with short messages, the unusual behavior that might affect the delight of the occasion.
