Al-Habash laments : Not having a special place hinders setting up gyms, as ​

University provides sports equipments to a number of girls' colleges.

The Deanship of Student Affairs of King Khalid University has provided a set of sports and entertainment materials to be distributed to a number of girls' colleges of the University. The equipments included electrical appliances (electric appliance for walking), Billiards table, table tennis, and hockey.

It should be noted that the appliances distributed to nearly 20 Colleges at different branches of the university, are at the request of the colleges who had earlier expressed their willingness to have these tools to meet some students' sports needs. Earlier, the colleges have arranged special places that enable the female students to use the tools freely and without any kind of violations to the Islamic code of conducts, and with complete privacy.

On this important development, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Merra Al-habash stated that the step taken to provide these equipments came as a trial to activate the role of sports, and entertaining activities for female students, so as to provide them with special places to exercises, to entertain themselves, and at the same time to benefits from the university's gesture of providing these equipments. He said, "We took into account having a separate place for exercising in a totally-closed feminist environment, and according to Islamic rules. He added, "We still have a number of appliances to distribute, and we are looking forward, in the very near future, to provide more of these appliances, depending on the availability of suitable places in the girls' colleges, which is an issue considered as the first obstacle for us in our attempts at establishing gyms in the girls' colleges that are under the university."
