More than 1,000 students signed on the Kingdom map in the beginning of the academic year.

In a new step within the plan of Arts and Education College of King Khalid University to celebrate the arrival of new entrants, the College authorities have written welcome and other phrases on a huge plate and placed it in front of the students while receiving them.

The celebration also witnessed drawing a map of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on a large plate, and the new entrants put their signature on it, as a sign of the start of a new phase of their lives. More than 1,040 students signed on the map.

The celebration began with an introductory meeting, which was conducted under the auspices of the Vice - President of Student Affairs Deanship, Dr. Hanan Al-Kadi, and with the attendance of the Dean of the College of Arts and Education, Dr. Khayria Al-Hassan, and the College Vice - President for Academic Affairs, Mrs. Aisha Vaya.

Dr. Khayria welcomed the new female entrants and wanted them to know that there is a big difference between the Secondary stage and the university stage of education and life. She said, "There must be high ambition for each student towards success, and excellence."

She added, "Building and enriching a culture of a student, and her personality is not only by absorbing knowledge and information during the university study period; it is a small part of building of the future. Additionally, participation in extracurricular activities, voluntary work and training courses are a part of the bulky aspects of building a student's personality".

She also stressed on their full compliance to the university rules and regulations, and to take any information from its reliable source.
