.University Vice- Presidency for Development and Quality launches the second phase of "Enjaz" project
As King Khalid University is keen on developing work environment to keep pace with the latest technological developments, and to achieve high levels of accuracy, and fast delivery, Vice - Presidency for Development and Quality has launched the second phase of the project that handles administrative and electronic communications known as "Enjaz". The program is managed by the Center for Documentation and Archives, which is affiliated to the Vice-Presidency.
This phase comes as an extension of the first phase. It is developed to allow tracking of documents of the university and its private transactions, from the inception of the document to the time it is fully finished, hence it could be saved in the university Center for documents.
It is against this background that the Vice-President for Development and Quality, Dr Ahmed bin Yahya Al-Jbaili stated that there will be a generalization to all units of the university to nominate relevant staff in order to train them according to a schedule, which will be released officially immediately it is completed. He said, "Training topics will address greatly the issues that focus on how to deal with documents, such as importance of documents and information security, policies for documents and their security, the quality of the documents that are produced, the work environment of the program, plans for coding and classification for the various documents so that it will be possible to identify the administrative sector that produced the document through its own code."
It is noteworthy that the activation of the program has saved a lot of working hours, efforts, and costs required for printing, photocopying, and the time the reporters take to transfer from the source of the document to the concerned authorities, especially as the University has many branches spread across Asir region. This program corresponds also, with environmental considerations that the university bears in mind including; the consumption of paper and materials to operate printers, cameras, and the associated production of waste, environmental pollution, and increasing consumption of energy.
