On Monday 6 / 11 / 1435 AH, the awareness initiative program "Nawrini" was launched. The launching of the program was initiated by the "Estabrq" team, consisting of by 46 female students of King Khalid University. It is under the auspices of Asir Youth Council, and it is in collaboration with the women section of World Assembly for Muslim Youth.

The initiative aims at introducing the developments and requirements of university life to female secondary school students. In addition, it aims at determining obvious future objectives, and identifying the current available opportunities, as well as giving general advice about the university life and job opportunities after graduation.

On this issue, the leader of the initiative, Rawan Al-Almae who is one of King Khalid University students, stated that participants in the campaign were aware of the need to help the newcomer students regarding requirements of university life, and how to confront examinations among other things, pointing out that participants will also introduce 18 disciplines, among them Medicine, Dentistry, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Radiology, Clinical Pathology, English Language, Islamic Studies, kindergarten, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, and Home Economics.
