150 Greeting bags presented to dustmen on Eid Al-Fitr day by the program of "Our Volunteering Kids".
Under the supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs of King Khalid University, a student named Rafaa Al - Shahrani who belongs to the Faculty of Science at the university, has launched a voluntary program, named "Our Volunteering Kids". The program is a part of another one called "the Running River", which is supervised directly by the Deanship. The project aims at making the expatriate labor force in general and cleaners in particular, happy, especially on such days as that of Eid Al-Fitr.
Earlier, the organizers of the project have prepared a special bag that carries the name of the university as well as that of the project. Also the bag contained a symbolic some of money, chocolates, telephone recharge card and Eid greeting card.
There was a great response towards the project by a number of workers who were greeted in each of the cities: Jeddah, Abha and Khamis, as well as in some surrounding villages of these cities. By the end of this week, more than 150 bags have been distributed, thus bringing delight to both the workers and the holders of the program.
