University President: 90% student issues solved

University Media Center

King Khalid University could solve 90% of the issues raised by students in a previous meeting in a short time (two months). Most of these issues concentrated on factors that hinder students’ academic progress; factors such as providing an environment capable of helping students successfully attain their education, tuck shops providing snacks, developing student services by properly maintaining playgrounds, security guard issues, and maintaining lecture auditoriums.

His Excellency, the University President, Professor Abdulrahman Bin Hamid Al-Dawood, confirmed that issues that are yet to be solved related to building and construction, but that they have been prioritised by the university, which will exert its best efforts to complete them on time.

The President asked related Administrations and Deanships to open communication channels with students, to meet their needs, and to solve all hindrances to their academic progress.

His Excellency called upon all students to personally maintain contact with him via the various communication tools within the university and to gain benefit from all services offered by the university.

These issues were raised during the 2nd meeting of the Higher Students Committee for the current study year, which was headed by His Excellency, the university President, and hosted by the Dean of Student Affairs. The meeting lasted for a continuous 3 hours, during which they presented all possible advice and instructions that may interest students while maintaining their national, and moderate religious identity. The students interacted well and they appreciated the heart to heart talk with the university President.
