His Excellency the Deputy of Higher Education Minister, Dr.Ahmed Bin Mohamed Alseif visited King Khalid University corner at the forum of Excellence Research Centres contribution in the cognitive Economy which was held at Higher Education location in Al Riyadh under the auspices of his Excellency Higher Education Minister. King Khalid University President met him and explain briefly the university participation at the forum through promising Research Centres in the treatments of maxillofacial deformities at Dentistry College.
The Dean of Dentistry College at King Khalid University and the centre’s director Dr.Abdullah Bin Awad Alrefeidy explained that promising Research Centres in the treatments of maxillofacial deformities is participating in the forum through displaying some of the center’s achievements including scientific spread hence 5 researches were published in specialized scientific magazines besides admitting other researches. There were 8 workshops serving and meeting the centre’s goals. The centre also carried out many awareness campaigns involving more than 100 students (male and female) at the main malls in each Abha and Khames Mushaite, during these campaign 9000 questionnaire were distributed.
It is worth mentioned that the centre started treatment stage through treating some cases of congenital malformations of newborns and manufacturing some of replacement parts for patients who suffer from tumors in the maxillofacial area.
