University Academics Commend the New University System

The university female branch expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, His Royal Highness, and His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, may Allah protect them, for the new university system. This new strategy grants unprecedented autonomy to individual universities over most aspects of operations. The female academics also commended Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, for his support and attention to educational development.

Creative Environment

Vice Rector of Female Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Khlood Abu-Melha noted the significance of the new system of Saudi universities. She noted that the new structure permits greater flexibility in programs and funding. This will result in accelerated innovation as the university develops relationships with private companies and establishes endowments.

Extreme Efforts

Dean of the College of Home Economics, Dr. Fawzia Ali Al-Ghurais, said that the adoption of the system is a great step in the development of higher education. Partnering with other universities will spur development and create job opportunities for our alumni. These initiatives will require a great amount of effort, but the long term benefits will produce even greater results.

Collaborations and Competition

Dean of the College of Arts and Science and the Community College at Rijal Alma, Dr. Siham Al-Hyder, explained that the new university system is a major shift in the field of higher education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dean Al-Hyder added that the new system includes potential international programs and private research partnerships in addition to financial autonomy. She noted that this supports Vision 2030.

A New Interface

Dean of the College of Arts and Science at Al-Majardah, Dr. Maha Al-Shehri, stressed that the new system is a successful step towards a new operational structure for Saudi universities that meets the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives.

Flexibility and Governance

Dr. Samia Al-Hakami, Supervisor of the Female Academic Center, said that the new system is focused on flexibility and autonomous governance. The new strategy ensures academic discipline, financial independency and efficient administrative structure.

Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the Department of English, College of Arts and Science, Dr. Rania Al-Mufreh, said that the new university system is a historic breakthrough, which will allow our universities to establish new programs that meet the needs of the job market. She added, "We are delighted that the new system of universities will lead us to firm plans to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030."
