King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, met with the Director of the Ministerial Agency of Civil Affairs, Mr. Qassim bin Saeed Al-Qarni, on Tuesday the 9^th of Jumādá al-Ūlá in his office at the university administration building. They discussed the possibility of future collaboration.

His Excellency welcomed Director Al-Qarni, expressing his appreciation towards the efforts of the agency in opening the door to cooperation and partnership programs that will serve the community and contribute to the growth and development of the Asir region.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed an identification card cooperation program to facilitate the process of receiving and renewing National IDs. This will be done through the provision of a civil affairs desk in all university branches where clients can visit the counter for a host of services.

There were numerous campuses selected to host the civil affairs desk. Of note, locations in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Ahad Rufdya, Sarat Obaidah, Dhahran Al-Janub, Rjial Alma, Muhayel, and Al-Majarda will be the first to begin the project. At the end of the meeting, Director Al-Qarni thanked Rector Al-Solamy for his hospitality, adding that the agency is honored to serve the community in Asir, hoping that the program achieves the success desired.
