As part of a partnership with the General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars, King Khalid University - represented by the Intellectual Awareness Unit - launched the 'Scholar Visit Program'. Members of the Supreme Council of Scholars and the Standing Committee for Fatwas and Scientific Research are slated to attend.

The program includes a number of topics such as the status of scholars in the Kingdom, sources of acceptance in the life of a young man, the legal approach in dealing with sedition, moderation and its impact on the nation, and the scourge of atheism. The programs also include visits from members of the Supreme Council of Scholars and Advisors to the Royal Court on Tuesday, 29/1/1440. His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki, member of the Supreme Council of Scholars and Counselor at the Royal Court, will grace the occasion on Tuesday 14/2/1440. His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khnein, senior scientist, will attend on Wednesday 9/2/1440.

Deputy Supervisor of the Intellectual Awareness Unit, Dr. Misfer bin Ahmed Al-Wadai, explained that the program aims to bolster the reliability and social currency of senior scholars in the Kingdom among youth. Dr. Al-Wadai noted that the program received considerable attention and guidance from His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy.
