The University Hosts the Creative Students Forum: A Nation's Achievements

On behalf of His Excellency the University Rector, Dr. Falah Al-Solamy, Vice Rector of Students Affairs, Dr. Saad bin Dajjam sponsored the opening ceremony of the second scientific forum titled "A Nation’s Achievements." The ceremony took place in the Central Auditoriums of the Main Campus.

In his speech, Dr. Saad bin Dajjam emphasized the importance of the forum and thanked the Faculty of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait for organizing the forum. He explained that the title of the forum evokes the memory of the historic achievements in our country, and the prosperity of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRM King Salman bin Abdulaziz -- may Allah protect him. He added: "I assure you that our country is witnessing an unprecedented cultural transition through Vision 2030 and the 2020 National Transformation Program led by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. At its core, the visionary movements aspire to shift the country in a new direction towards development and success." He finally thanked all those who contributed to the organization and success of the forum. Following after, Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani, who represented the participants in the forum, expressed his gratitude to all those who inspired and encouraged creative, talented individuals. “We are very proud of a forum that is dedicated to the creativity and success achieved by our country. We also appreciate and are in gratitude to all those who work to protect the reputation of our nation. Nations are built through devoted efforts and loyal citizens."

In her segment, the Head of the Scientific Committee and the Dean of the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait, Dr. Sarra Abu Melha, welcomed the guests and participants while pointing out that the idea of establishing the forum was based on the King Khalid University mission to act as a platform for creative, innovative, and talented students. Dr. Abu Melha explained that during the early stages of preparation for this forum, 62 participants were accepted from different fields, but the committee accepted only 23 submissions in accord with the stated conditions and criteria. At the end of her opening remarks, Dr. Abu Melha extended her sincere appreciation to the Custodian of the Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness the Crown prince, and Rector Al-Solamy for their consistent support and care. She concluded her address by thanking everyone who contributed to the success of the forum.

The forum includes four scientific sessions and will be held over a two day period, during which a number of participants will present their inventions and creative work. The forum will be held at the Central Auditoriums of the Main Campus for males and in the College of Science Theater for females.
