Final Week of the 6th Health Awareness Program in Belasmar Kicks Off

The activities of the final week of the 6th King Khalid University Health and Education Program were launched at the Belasmar Monday Market, which included more than 242 employees and members from the University.

The Vice Rector for Academic Development and Quality and Deputy Supervisor of the Program, Dr. Merzin Al-Shahrani, explained that the University seeks to meet the needs of the community and contribute to its development through public service programs, which is aligned with the University’s mission and objectives that support the 2030 Saudi Vision and the aspirations of our country.

Al-Shahrani added that this year's program provides educational, and health programs that meet the needs of our society. The program aims to meet and exceed the aspirations of the community by building upon previous success. He pointed out that the final week of the program includes educational and awareness programs in which the University has dedicated its best employees to.

The program included specialized clinics from: family medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, otolaryngology, back and neck injuries, nutrition and dental clinics with sections for fillings, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology clinics for women, a smoking clinic, and pharmacies that contain more than 200 drugs in addition to an educational exhibition and lectures for men and women.

It is worth mentioning that the University will expend all efforts towards serving the communities in Belasmar, Belahmar and Tanumah, with the participation of: the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry, the Deanship of Admission and Registration, the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, the Deanship of Community Service, the Faculty of Languages and Translation, the Medical City, and the College of Nursing in Khamis Mushait.
