Rector Sponsors the Celebration of the Activities Unit at the Faculty of Sharia

His Excellency, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solamy, the Rector of the King Khalid University, sponsored the celebration of the Unit of Awareness and Cultural Activities “Qetaf” in the Faculty of Sharia. A number of the University’s stakeholders, deans, and faculty members attended the event.

In a word given by the Rector, he said, "I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz and His Royal Highness the Governor of the region on the tremendous loss of His Royal Highness Prince Mansour bin Muqrin bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Governor of the region and his companions."

Al-Solamy added that the Unit of Awareness and Cultural Activities in the college is one of the outstanding units at the university level. He reviewed all the units developments and activities within the university and in the surrounding society of the university, as well as its international programs. Rector Al-Solamy stressed that these activities are not only part of the vision and mission of the university but also an authentic part of the message of this great country and the visions of our dynamic leadership.

Al-Solamy praised the global programs such as "Tawasol" and "Balagh," which the unit provides at the global level, noting his full support for them, and indicating that they will be held in many countries.

To emphasize the achievements, the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia, Dr. Mohammed bin Dhafer Al-Shehri, welcomed the rector, his companions, and the attendees. Dr. Al-Shehri expressed his happiness to honor the participants in the programs of the unit during the past year, relating that the unit carried out its activities in exemplary fashion.

In like manner, Shura Council Member, Dr. Ali Shahrani, gave a stirring speech to the participants of the unit, in which he reviewed the vision, mission, and objectives, in addition to what it has provided to both the university and the community. He added that the Unit aims to perform dawah, educate people, and raise their awareness.

It is noteworthy that during the ceremony, there was a review of what the Unit has offered in its local and exterior programs. At the end of the celebration, participants were honored.
