The University Concludes the Summer Club Program in the Abha General Prison

King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Penal Institutions in the Asir Region, concluded the activities of the summer club program held in the Abha General Prison during the summer of 1438H. One of the program aims is to provide guidance and awareness to all segments of society.

A number of activities were held inside Abha General Prison during the summer club program such as lectures, training courses, and several religious and educational lectures. The most prominent included a presentation on 'The Imminent Danger Surrounding Drugs,' presented by Dr. Musfir Al Wadai and a lecture on 'Quran and the Virtues of Morality' given by Dr. Fadel Al Shehri. Another lecture was provided by Dr. Abod Dera'a on 'Protecting the Brain in Sharia.' Moreover, Dr. Audh Al Shehri gave a lecture on 'The Prophet's Manners with his Family.'

On the awareness side, Dr. Abdullah Al Sabani gave a talk on 'Your Health after Forty.' Another religious lecture was given on 'Good Hearts' conducted by Saeed Al Sarhani. Lastly, a lecture titled 'The Believe in the Divine Decree,' was provided by Dr. Mohammed Al Rajhi.

In an effort to provide unique training opportunities, three courses were held that helped the inmates from an educational level. One of them was on 'The Art of Communication' presented by Dr. Ali Al Marzoqi. Another was presented by Dr. Khudran Al Suhaimi entitled 'The God and Prophet Joseph.' Furthermore, Dr. Abdullah Al Kasi gave the third course, and it was about 'Self-Development Techniques.'

The General Directorate of Penal Institutions in the Asir Region expressed their sincere gratitude to King Khalid University for their efforts in providing lectures and training courses during the program.

It is worth mentioning that, the number of those who benefited from the summer club program in Abha General Prison has exceeded 790 inmates and 27 employees.
