On behalf of His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solamy, His Excellency, Dr. Saad Al-Dajjam, the University Vice-President for Academic and Educational Affairs, sponsored the graduation ceremony of the second batch of the Legal Aid members of the Takamul Initiative. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, the 17th of Dhul Qa'dah, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Abha. The Founder and the President of the Initiative, Lawyer Majid Karoub, attended the ceremony.

The ceremony comes after the completion of the training program, which amounted to 200 hours of training, including but not limited to legal and administrative training. 60 students from the Faculty of Sharia and the law section of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Finance in the university benefited the program. It included numerous intensive courses and workshops in laws and legislation.

The Vice Dean of Academic Development and Quality at the Faculty of Sharia, Dr. Yahya Al Hanash, thanked the members of the Training Committee for the great efforts they have made to create distinguished graduates and help them to join the labor market. Also, the initiative offered many advantages for those in need by providing legal services in Courts of personal status and labor courts.

The initiative aimed at providing pro bono legal aid to those in need and unable to afford the fees of attorneys-at-law and consultants for charities and needy families in the field of personal and labor conditions. It also aimed to rehabilitate and train graduates of law and Islamic law and to find jobs for them in the private sector. Furthermore, the initiative was designed to achieve the highest professional standards through gratuitous training and community awareness.

It is noteworthy that the graduates of the second batch of the Takamul initiative were limited to King Khalid University students. Each graduate will provide 1,000 hours of voluntary legal work for those who cannot afford to pay as a part of community service.
