The Governor of the Asir Region, His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz received the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solamy. Rector Al-Solamy was accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Kasy, the General Supervisor of the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the University who is also the Head of the “Our Nation” Program, Dr. Yahya Al-Bakri, and the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Arts, who is also the Deputy Supervisor of the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the Boys' Colleges and the University Branches, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Qasi, in addition to the Vice-President of the Program, Dr. Misfer Bin Ahmed Bin Musfar Al-Wadai.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness the Governor welcomed the guests. Then, he was briefed on the objectives of the "Our Nation" program, which includes the promotion of national values and awareness vis-a-vis the development of religious and moral values for all segments of society. The Governor of the Asir region, HRH Prince Faisal bin Khalid, also received the final report of "Teacher and the Age of Knowledge" conference, which has been recently organized by the University.
During the meeting, the Governor of the Asir Region stressed the importance of promoting national values in the broad sense. He also stressed on instilling patriotism among the members of the society, in addition to taking positive attitudes and activating the role of institutions in building the national values system and preserving the capabilities of the homeland and its properties.
The program was published through social networks and YouTube. Many regional security and administrative leaders, academicians, and intellectuals participated in the program.
At the end of the meeting, His Excellency, the Rector, thanked His Royal Highness the Governor of the Asir Region for his support to the University.
