King Khalid University, Media Center

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), Dr. Faleh Bin Rajaa Allah Al Solamy, the Media Center will organize a training course for the media family of the Asir region, which is coinciding with the celebration of Abha as the capital of Arab tourism. The course comes under the title “Tourism Media” and will last from the next Tuesday, 20/8/1438 AH to Wednesday, 21/8/1438 AH. The venue of the course will be the Asir Hall at the Abha Palace Hotel, and it will be led by specialists from the Media and Communications Department of the University.

The General Supervisor of the Media Center, Advisor Dr. Ali bin Shuwail Al-Qarni, said that this course comes within the framework of the University's participation in various activities during the celebration of Abha: the Arab Tourism Capital of 2017. The course aims to impart specialized knowledge in the field of tourism and media and to conduct applications and media models as a preparation for upcoming events in the Asir region.

Al-Qarni pointed out that this training course is a continuation of the media center's approach in opening its doors to serve the local media of the region. It is expected that a large group of media professionals from the region will participate in this session. He stressed that the patronage of the Rector and his meeting with the media professionals in the region is one of the goals of the media center in paving more paths between the university and the media.

It is worth mentioning that the course aims at introducing tourism information, its components and requirements, and drawing the successful treatment of the tourist events, in addition to highlighting tourism activities and events in an ever-changing media world.
