Anti- cybercrime conference recommends activating the role of education and information

The 2nd International Conference on Anti- cybercrime, which was recently organized by King Khalid University, represented by the General Directorate of Information Technology, issued, at the end of its work, a number of recommendations on cybercrime and prevention methods

The CIO and the Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, Dr. Salem Al-elayani said that the sessions of the conference showed a number of recommendations, most notably the emphasis on the importance of the conference and the need to establish it periodically and activating the community awareness of cyber crimes regulations. He added that the recommendations of the conference emphasized the importance of education and its role in terms of educating young people and communicating with the family. In the field of education, recommendations also stipulated the need to include cyber crimes regulations within the educational curricula, and to update the current legislation and regulations related to cyber crimes.

It is noteworthy that the conference sessions discussed four important topics for two days, including the evolution of cyber crimes, risks and threats, as well as the analysis of cyber crimes and methods of prevention, and awareness and the future cyber crimes.
