University celebrates National Day with a number of activities and events

King Khalid University (KKU), represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, is preparing to organize activities to celebrate the 86th National Day. The event will take place on the next Monday, the 25th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1437 AH, and it will be held under the auspices of His Excellency, the Rector of KKU, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Salamy.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mar’e Al Habash, has said that preparation for that event was ongoing early by holding several events, including a national seminar, poetry Osbouhh, interactive national contests via social networks, as well as skeet shows, motorcycles shows, light shows on the buildings of the University City in Al Guraiger in the evening of celebration, in addition to a number of youth performances. Productive families will also take part in the ceremony through presenting their products in a special place.

Dr. Al Habash also pointed that there would be a national campaign that would be launched from the university headquarters targeting a number of public places. The campaign aims to exchange, among the population, congratulations and blessings of the National Day. Furthermore, on the agenda of the ceremony are rhetorical and operetta that will be presented at the main headquarters of the university and will be transmitted live.

Dr. Al Habash also stressed that among the most important activities of the university in celebrating the 86th National Day was the exhibition that would be held under the name of “A stand for loyalty" which will include pictures of the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - May God’ have mercy on him - and pictures of his sons after him, in addition to exhibiting pictures that reflect the evolution of the kingdom until the recent prosperous era. The Dean of the Student Affairs further pointed out that the exhibition would not forget "our brave soldiers’ sacrifices on the southern borders while implementing decisiveness and restoring hope storms". He also explained that there would be a special blood donation campaign for the brave soldiers that would kick off with the launch of events. This will be in coordination between the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Ministry of Health, as well as the health colleges of the university. The purpose of such campaign is to provide a mobile vehicle for blood donation for the benefit of our brave soldiers on the southern borders during the whole day of the celebration.

It is noteworthy that a special tag will be launched on twitter (( #غرد_للوطن ) to let student of the university express love and loyalty for this generous country. In addition, prizes will be presented to the best tweets.
