Three scout teams from the university participate in the service of pilgrims.

The King Khalid University scout team is participating in the camps of public service for the pilgrims of the Holy Mosque in this year with three scout teams including 48 students from various departments of the University. The delegation is supervised by the leadership development commissioner, who is also the scout activity supervisor in the university, Mr. Ahmed Al Shaqiqi.

The supervisor has confirmed that the scout teams had been prepared by given a number of scout training courses such as first aid, the art of dealing with the pilgrims, and the ways to guide the lost pilgrims. He said, "the delegation will begin its mission of serving the pilgrims of the holy mosque on Thursday - God willing-."

From his part, the Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Mura'i Al Habash, has praised the efforts of the university represented by the members of the Scout activity in serving and guiding the pilgrims. He said, "The university is very eager to participate in this activity of great reward and honor from Allah - providing services to the pilgrims. The University has selected its representatives carefully led by the leadership development commissioner, Mr. Ahmed Al Shaqiqi, and the accompanying members of the scout teams. All of this is in order to support the spirit of volunteerism and the national belonging, and to contribute with other governmental and security agencies."
