The Deanship of Admission and Registration at King Khalid University (KKU) has announced that it had received, through its website, more than 27 thousand applications for admission over the past period, while more than five thousand students have been nominated for admission as candidates in the first batch. In the same regard, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr.Sultan Al Fareh, has clarified that "the mechanism of admission and registration for this academic year has been done electronically. This came in order to follow the ongoing development policy performed by the university. This is because the electronic admission system has been prepared aiming to facilitate and improve the administrative procedures associated with the admission mechanism and process in the university." In more details, Dr. Al Fareh has pointed out that the system would help the new students to select the suitable specializations for their qualifications among other available disciplines through electronic guidance. This system will also provide all the services of interest to new students through a Website where all the necessary and required procedures are shown and explained. In addition to that, Dr. Al Farah said: "There will be a meeting with the new students at the beginning of the academic year to guide them, to respond to their inquiries, and to answer frequent questions." He further mentioned that the staff would work on two shifts to answer students' questions electronically. In addition to that, there will be an employee from Admission and Registration Deanship at the hall of main services building to clarify all inquiries.
